1Important Notice
Before you register as a PlayBox user or use any PlayBox service, please read this Terms of Service agreement (the "Agreement") carefully and make sure you fully understand each clause. You may choose to accept or reject this Agreement. Unless you accept all of the terms below, you have no right to register, sign in or use the services covered by this Agreement. By registering, signing in or using PlayBox, you are deemed to have accepted this Agreement and to have agreed to be bound by all of its terms.
2Scope of the Agreement
2.1 This Agreement is entered into between you and the PlayBox developer ("we", "us") with respect to your downloading, installing, using and copying of the software, as well as the use of related services.
2.2 This Agreement also incorporates any related agreements and operating rules we may publish from time to time. Once officially released, those documents form an inseparable part of this Agreement and you are equally bound by them.
3Service Content & License
3.1 Software license. We grant you a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive license to use the software. You may install, use, display and run the software on a single end-user device for non-commercial purposes.
3.2 Service updates. To improve the user experience, we reserve the right to update the software (including, without limitation, replacement, modification, feature enhancement and version upgrades) without prior notice to you.
3.3 AI-powered services. The AI video summary feature inside the app is provided as an assistive tool to improve your viewing efficiency. You understand and agree that AI-generated content may contain errors and does not represent our endorsement of, or opinion about, any video.
4User Conduct
You agree not to use the service to engage in any of the following activities, including but not limited to:
4.1 Posting, transmitting, distributing or storing content that is prohibited by applicable law, including content that:
- Infringes constitutional principles or fundamental human rights;
- Threatens national security, leaks state secrets, incites violence or disrupts public order;
- Spreads rumors that disturb social order or stability;
- Distributes obscene, pornographic, gambling-related, violent, terrorist or criminally instigative material.
4.2 Reverse-engineering, decompiling, disassembling or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the software.
4.3 Maliciously processing offensive, violent or illegal video content through the AI features.
4.4 Interfering with or disrupting the normal operation of the service, such as accessing the service through automated tools (bots, scripts, scrapers, etc.).
5Intellectual Property
5.1 All copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights in the PlayBox software, as well as all related information and content (including but not limited to text, images, audio, video, charts, interface design, layout, related data and electronic documents), are protected by applicable laws and international treaties. We hold all such intellectual property rights to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5.2 Without our prior written consent, you may not — for any commercial or non-commercial purpose — exercise, exploit or transfer any of the above intellectual property rights, nor permit any third party to do so.
6Device Security Responsibilities
6.1 You understand and agree that, like most internet software, PlayBox may be affected by various factors (including but not limited to user actions, network quality and the social environment); it may also be subject to security risks (such as third parties using your information to harass you in the real world, or other software/websites you use containing viruses, trojans or other malicious programs that threaten your device and data). You should therefore take reasonable steps to protect your information and device security, including practicing good password hygiene.
7Disclaimer of Warranties
7.1 We do not warrant that the service will meet all of your requirements, nor that the service will be uninterrupted; nor do we make any guarantee regarding the timeliness, security or accuracy of the service.
7.2 We are not liable for service interruptions or other defects caused by force majeure or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, but we will make every reasonable effort to minimize the resulting impact.
7.3 When using the AI video summary feature, you should independently judge the value of the generated content. We are not liable for any misunderstanding or decision-making error resulting from your reliance on AI-generated summaries.
8Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
8.1 This Agreement, including its formation, performance, interpretation and any dispute resolution, shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the PlayBox developer is located, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
8.2 If any dispute arises out of or in connection with this Agreement or its performance, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith. If the dispute cannot be settled through negotiation, either party may bring the dispute before the competent courts located at the developer's place of business.
